Who or what the hell is
Octane Toys?
Octane Toys Has been running in some shape or form since
1993.  We started just with collector fairs mainly with trading
cards.  Moved on to Online Auctioning before online
Auctioning was fashionable and before Ebay became king.
Attempted to run a Collectible Shop and a Video Game shop.
(But due to various aspects closed both down before they really
had a chance to go anywhere)  Continued to be Exclusive
Partners with Australian Auction house SOLD.COM.AU (The
Evil Yahoo Bought and ran it into the ground).  Even
attempted to start a toy line or too and have several
unpublished video game projects.  Continues to Auction
occasionally Exclusively on Ebay Oz, Ebay and Oztions and the
odd trade show in the USA.

Stuart Hamblin
The one responsible for operations.  I have been collecting for over 20 years plus.  A lot of
experience in a lot of Collectible fields.  Started on Cards and Comics then progress on to
Action figures.  You name it I have chased it at one stage or another.  Started Dealing to get rid
of the excess of Trading cards I was accumulating back in the 90's.  Kept expanding to all area's
of my collecting.  I started buying cases of Figures as I got sick of hunting around to get all
short packed ones.   I keep vowing to give it up usually only for a short time until I find
something that peeks my interest and I am at it again.  Helped with the successful Online
Auction Sold.com.au (Pre Yahoo Buying it), Helped set up Paypal (Pre Ebay Buying it) in
Australia and at one stage worked on the Pez Kids Club Website.  Worked on a number of
prototypes of toys/lines that never got of the ground.  I like Dealing with unusual stuff or stuff
from my childhood (70's or 80's).  Love to play with the collectibles Toys as that is what they
are designed for.  We usually don't bulk deal in stock it's all 1's or 2's.  So once it is sold we
probably may never sell it again.  We have an unusual mix sometimes.  But try to be cheaper
than retail or have stuff not in Australia.

I still collect the odd Transformer, MOTU, PEZ, Trading cards and odd comic every now and
again. More than likely if I would not collect it myself or deem it cool I will not sell it.  Sure I
can sell hot collectibles or the in things but that is just too easy.  I prefer to sell stuff I
appreciate.  My taste may not be your taste.  Currently Live in the USA and manage the whole
Australian Collectible thing from there, It's a long, long story....  Will always be an Australian
at heart.
Dawn Le Poidevin
My mum.  The one who handle's the posting or Australia Branch as I would like to call it.  I
think actually does it to attempt to get some of the junk, I have accumulated, out of her house.
Can't see the Collectible value in anything but packs a mean box.
Jack
My kid at the moment in Australia and I am in the USA.  The official toy tester or should I say
toy stealer.  A bit of a reason why a lot of stuff never makes for sale.  As if it is cool more than
likely it will not end up for sale but in their hot little hands.  You just can't say no to your kids.
Jack is a bit of a Pokemon, TMNT and Transformer nut (Or anything as long as it is not Girly).
